Community. Excellence. Character
The junior-senior high school maximizes these characteristics by building a community of lifelong learners through community partnerships. Students are motivated and given the tools to strive for excellence in academics and extracurriculars. And character is refined and sharpened as individuals learn the value of becoming upstanding citizens.
U.S. News and World Reports continues to rank the junior-senior high school among the top in Pennsylvania. In the Fall 2021 issue, Carlynton ranked 39th of 132 southwestern schools in Pennsylvania.
U.S. News and World Reports
ranked Carlynton Junior-Senior High School as a Top 100 High School in Pennsylvania
its Winter 2020 and Spring 2015 issues. Based on enrollment, student-to-teacher ratio, proficiency scores on state assessment tests and the participation and achievement rate on advanced placement tests, the school placed 54th out of 673 public, charter and magnet high schools in the Commonwealth, placing it in the top 8 percent.
