Required documents are listed below. Applications will be kept on file for one year.

  • CONFIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT, PUBLIC RELATIONS AND GRANT WRITING COORDINATOR: Communications degree or similar required. $45-55K per exp. w/exc. benefits.   • FOOD SERVICE WORKERS and LUNCHROOM/PLAYGROUND AIDES - at a rate of $13.10/hour. Work 2-4 hours during the day and be home before your children return from school. And you're off for the summer and all holidays. Clearances are required. Submit letter of interest, resume and references to kristen.butler@carlynton.k12.pa.us

  • IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME and PART-TIME CUSTODIANS - must be self-motivated, honest and able to work independently. Starting wage: $13.25 - $13.68/hour. Email letter of interest, resume, references and clearances to kristen.butler@carlynton.k12.pa.us

  • SUBSTITUTE NURSE - must have current Pa nursing license and current BLS certification

  • SUBSTITUTE OFFICE SECRETARIES - at a rate of $15/hour

  • SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKERS for the cafeteria and lunchrooms - Hourly rate: $9. Great positions for parents with children in school! Work a few hours during the day and be home before your child with summer and holidays off.

  •  SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONALS / INSTRUCTIONAL AIDES - Hourly rate: $10 with potential for full time


    SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: The district uses STS, a substitute teacher service, and does not employ its own subs. All inquiries about substitute teaching in the district should be directed to Robin Chiodi at r.chiodi@thesubservice.com or call 412-676-9702.

Certified substitute teachers will be paid at the rate of $100 per day for the first 30 days of service. On the 31st day, that rate increases to $110 per day.

Minimum qualifications: Substitute teachers must possess a valid PA teaching certificate.
 


Individuals interested in obtaining a classified employee position can contact the personnel office by calling 412-429-2500, ext. 1113. Classified positions include secretarial, teacher aide, personal care aide, maintenance, custodian, food service worker or lunch room worker. With the application, it is necessary to include:

  • A resume and references

  • A copy of your driver's license

  • A copy of your social security card

  • Recent tuberculosis test results

  • Processed and approved "Criminal Record Check" - Act 34

  • Processed and approved "Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance" - Act 151

  • Processed and approved "FBI Criminal History Record Clearance" - Act 114**

The application process will be expedited when submitting a District classified employee application packet.
