Required documents are listed below. Applications will be kept on file for one year. Please refer to PA Educator for more information or to apply for available positions.

The District is receiving applications for the following openings:  

  • ASSISTANT JUNIOR-SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL - Permanent 12-month position, grades 7-12. Must hold proper certification and be experienced in student discipline, curriculum development, staff observation/evaluations; have knowledge of school improvement and student assistance programs.   • NURSE ASSISTANT - Registered Nurse or LPN required for working in elementary school environment. Hours 8 am-3 pm during school year (10-months). Salary: $20,911 w/excellent benefits. Submit letter of interest, resume, qualifications, references & clearances to michale.herrmann@carlynton.k12.pa.us or mail to the Office of the Superintendent, Carlynton School District, 435 Kings Hwy, Carnegie 15106, Deadline to apply: October 12, 2020

  • FULL and PART-TIME CUSTODIANS - must be self-motivated, honest and able to work independently.

  • SUBSTITUTE NURSE - must have current Pa nursing license and current BLS certification

  • LUNCHROOM/PLAYGROUND AIDES - at a rate of $13.10/hour. Work 2-4 hours during the day and be home before your children arrive home from school. And you're off for all holidays.

  • SUBSTITUTE OFFICE SECRETARIES - at a rate of $15/hour

  • SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKERS for the cafeteria and lunchrooms - Hourly rate: $9
    Great positions for parents with children in school! Work during the day and be home before your child with same holiday breaks.

  • SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS - Hourly rate: $10
    Potential for full time 

  • SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONALS / INSTRUCTIONAL AIDES - Hourly rate: $10 with potential for full time

    SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: The district now uses STS, a substitute teacher service, and does not employ its own subs. All inquiries about substitute teaching in the district should be directed to Robin Chiodi at r.chiodi@thesubservice.com or call 412-676-9702.

Certified substitute teachers will be paid at the rate of $100 per day for the first 30 days of service. On the 31st day, that rate increases to $110 per day.

Minimum qualifications: Substitute teachers must possess a valid PA teaching certificate.
 


Individuals interested in obtaining a classified employee position can contact the personnel office by calling 412-429-2500, ext. 1113. Classified positions include secretarial, teacher aide, personal care aide, maintenance, custodian, food service worker or lunch room worker. With the application, it is necessary to include:

  • A resume and references

  • A copy of your driver's license

  • A copy of your social security card

  • Recent tuberculosis test results

  • Processed and approved "Criminal Record Check" - Act 34

  • Processed and approved "Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance" - Act 151

  • Processed and approved "FBI Criminal History Record Clearance" - Act 114**
