The enrollment process for parents of children who plan to attend school in the Carlynton School District is outlined below.

Competed registration packets can be submitted in one of the following ways:

Mail:  Completed packets with all necessary documents can be mailed to:

E-mail:  Completed packets and necessary documents can be scanned and e-mailed to Jennifer O’Lexa at jennifer.o' 

Drop-Off: Completed packets can be dropped off on TUESDAYS ONLY to meal distribution sites.  An administrator will be there at that time to accept the packet. See times and locations below.  

Carnegie Elementary: Tuesdays, 10 a.m.-11 a.m.  |  Crafton Elementary: Tuesdays, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT:  According to Pennsylvania School Code and Carlynton School Board Policy, the following items MUST be presented at the time of enrollment:

  • The child's birth certificate [or baptismal certificate, or a copy of the record of baptism (notarized or duly certified]; or a notarized statement from a parent or other relative indicating date of birth; or a valid passport; or prior school record indicating date of birth; or a duly attested transcript of the child's birth certificate; or a duly certified transcript of birth
  • The child's up-to-date immunization records
  • A copy of the child's most recent blood lead level testing results
  • Two proof of the parent's residency
    • Driver's License
    • Utility Bills
    • Tax Statements
    • Automobile Registration
    • Checks stubs from wages, public assistance or social security indicating the current address
    • Mortgage or lease agreements can be used as temporary proofs of residence, but another proof must be presented within 30 days

The first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year is August 24, 2020.

Registration paperwork is now being accepted for kindergarten enrollment at this time. Use the link above to access the ENROLLMENT PACKET. Complete the forms and return using one of three methods listed above.

Children who will be five (5) years-of-age on or before August 15, 2020 are eligible for kindergarten enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year. 
Consequently, the child's date of birth must be on or before August 15, 2015.

We encourage parents to report to registration at the following times based on the first letter of the child's last name:
  A through G    Register between 8:30 and 10:00 am 
  H through M 
  Register between 10:00 and 11:00 am 
  N through S    Register between 12:30 and 1:30 pm 
  T through Z    Register between 1:30 and 2:30 pm 

IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND THE REGISTRATION DATEchildren can be registered by contacting the district registrar. Please register as early as possible so parents/guardians can be notified of pre-kindergarten meetings and play dates and in order for class sizes to be arranged.
