It is an exciting time to be a part of Carlynton Junior-Senior High School. Carlynton Junior-Senior High School is a place where we celebrate the successes of all our students. We are extremely proud of our community and tradition of excellence. All members of the school community share responsibility in the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics.
We look forward to celebrating the effort, the work ethic and the achievements of all our Carlynton Cougars. The band, our sports teams and the Class of 2030 have all been up to the school in recent weeks to prepare for a successful year. Watching the band practicing their routine, the sports teams working together for the upcoming seasons and seeing the excitement in the eyes of the students from the future Class of 2030 reminds us of the reasons as to why Carlynton Junior-Senior High School is a special place.
The students work hard both individually and collectively as they strive towards achieving excellence. The faculty, staff and families of the community provide our students with support and encouragement as our children grow. These combined efforts from all stakeholders lead to creating a culture of care and compassion. At Carlynton Junior-Senior High School there is a commitment to cultivating the character of our students as they develop.
On behalf of the entire Junior-Senior High School faculty and staff, we look forward to celebrating the future achievements of all our students during the upcoming school year.
Sincerely,
Marsh Burleson Michael C. Loughren

Student Schedules
Student schedules for the upcoming school year will be posted during the week of August 12, 2024. Please understand that the schedule may change slightly in the next few weeks. Students will receive a finalized version on the first day of school during homeroom. If a student did not sign up for classes in PowerSchool last spring, the guidance counselors have assigned the basic core classes for the grade level. If a student has a course change request, he or she will need to contact Ms. Gallagher ([email protected]), guidance secretary, to schedule a meeting with your child’s guidance counselor. Students can also fill out a schedule change request in homeroom on the first day of school to request a schedule change. Please note, not all schedule changes are guaranteed. For those who need a PowerSchool password reset, please send an email to [email protected].
