Students Tackle Recycling

Teaming Up to Tackle Recycling
This is the image for the news article titled Teaming Up to Tackle RecyclingCarlynton Junior-Senior High School students are participating in Student Powered Solutions (SPS), a program of the Consortium for Public Education (CPE).

Partnering with the global (and locally headquartered) corporation Covestro, students chose to focus on poor waste management—specifically, a lack of strong recycling initiatives in the junior-senior high school. The students have split up into two groups: P3 (the Paper Preservation Project) and PASUP (Pledge Away Single Use Plastics).

By dividing their energy and resources, the students are tackling two major recycling initiatives while cooperating to reach a common goal. Their work has been recognized by Remake Learning.
