School Visitor Check-In System
For the safety of students and staff, school visitors will now be required to check in with Raptor Visitor Management System.
Part of ensuring a safe learning environment for students is knowing who is in our buildings at all times. The new Raptor system will allow us to do that. The system will track visitors, contractors, and volunteers in all buildings by way of this new sign-in process.
Upon entering a district building, visitors will be asked to present a valid state- or federal-issued ID, which will be scanned into the Raptor Management System. Raptor will run a clearance check on all visitors, checking specifically for registered sex offenders.
It is important to note that the Raptor system will scan the visitors name, date of birth, and last four digits of a driver's license or other ID. The system will not report information gathered by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Once the scan is complete, a visitor's badge will be issued and will include the date, time, and purpose of the visit.
Visitor's badges are not necessary for those who are dropping off items to the front office or picking up homework.
The safety and security of our students and staff is of highest priority and the Raptor Management System will provide a consistent way to monitor visitors. To gain entry to a school, an ID is required. We thank you for your understanding and support in enhancing school safety protocols in the district.
