The safety and well-being of our students and staff in the Carlynton School District is paramount.

The District is pleased to announce and welcome Dr. John W. Kreider as the newly appointed Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Kreider's appointment was announced at the December 3rd school board meeting.

The Board of Education has adopted Board Docs, a cloud-based board management solution to provide better access to board agendas and minutes.

For the safety of students and staff, school visitors will now be asked to check in with Raptor Visitor Management System. A valid state- or federal-issued ID will be required..

The district is partnering with the Commonwealth in launching an anonymous threat reporting system called "Safe2Say Something". The goal of this initiative is to strengthen the safety and security of our entire school community.

Students are permitted to bring cough drops to school in the original, unopened bag, with a permission form. The drops must be left with the school nurse.

Flu symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills, or even worse. If sick with flu symptoms, stay home and avoid contact with other people.

Under new guidelines set by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the Carlynton School Board adopted a new medication policy that will change the way all medications are administered to students. The changes effect both prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

There are a number of vaccination requirements for students who attend school in Pennsylvania. Vaccinations are required before a child enters kindergarten, again before entering seventh grade, and lastly, before entering 12th grade.
