Making Smart Choices
This is the image for the news article titled Making Smart ChoicesThe elementary schools will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 21-25. During the awareness campaign, students will pledge to live a lifestyle free of drug and alcohol and will commit to being kind and making smart choices.

The week long event will feature drug- and bully-free artwork created by students and hung throughout the schools. The buildings will be decked out in bright red ribbons to symbolize a commitment to choosing healthy habits. And lessons in classrooms will place an emphasis on safety, drug prevention, and making a choice to be kind.

Students will also have the chance to be creative during dress-up days to promote a healthy lifestyle.  Dress-up days in the schools will carry out the following themes:

CARNEGIE ELEMENTARY
MONDAY 
  
Red Day! Wear red clothing to kick off the message to be bully- and drug-free. Remember, it's cool to be kind.
TUESDAY
 
Super Hero Day! Wear your favorite tee to show you're a hero - Helpful, Encouraging, and Respectful of Others.
WEDNESDAY
  
School Spirit Day! Team up against drugs and bullying my showing your school spirit and wearing green and gold.
THURSDAY

Dress like a Twin Day!  (or a triplet or quadruplet) Remember, we are stronger together. Help friends make good choices.
FRIDAY
Be a Jean-ius Day!  Wear your favorite jeans because you're too smart to use drugs or be a bully.
   
CRAFTON ELEMENTARY
MONDAY
 
Red Day! Wear red clothing to kick off the message to be bully- and drug-free. Today's the day to begin making smart choices.
TUESDAY

Dress like a Twin Day!  Remember, friends don't let friends bully or do drugs. Be a BFF to your friend.
WEDNESDAY

Camo Day! Be all you can be - be drug- and bully free, and be proud to show it by wearing camouflage prints.
THURSDAY
 
Super Hero Day! Wear your favorite tee to show you're a hero -Helpful, Encouraging, and Respectful of Others. 
FRIDAY
Green and Gold Day! Show your school pride by saying no to drugs and bullying.
