Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

To help maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and staff, a back pack search was undertaken this morning with every student as he or she entered the building.

The bags were searched by our administrative team and secretaries. No weapons, bombs, or anything unusual was found in any of the back packs. The students were orderly and proceeded through the line quickly. We were able to begin the day at the normal start time.

The Robinson Police are here this morning and are assisting us with the ongoing investigation while maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.

Yesterday (January 31) at approximately 2:20 p.m. we were informed of a threat scrawled on a bathroom stall in the junior-senior high school that read "Bomb at 12, Feb 1." We immediately contacted the Robinson Township Police to begin an investigation.

For the safety and security of the students, we cancelled after-school activities so we could clear the building.  The police came to the building with  four dogs and performed a thorough search.  No bombs or any other suspicious items were found.  The police determined that the building is secure.

We will have an increased police presence tomorrow as we continue to take every precaution to provide a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff.

We will continue to investigate the matter and will pursue charges to the furthest extent of the discipline policy and the law.
