2.       Recommend approval of the Treasurer’s Report for the month of May 2006 as presented.  

 

  1. Recommend approval of the May 2006 bills in the amount of $____________ as presented. TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the Crafton Real Estate Tax Refunds for June 2006 as submitted. (Finance Item #0606-1) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the Cafeteria Report for April 2006 as presented by Aramark School and Support Services. (Finance Item #0606-2) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the Cafeteria Report for May 2006 as presented by Aramark School and Support Services. (Finance Item #0606-3) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the 2004-2005 school year audit reports as presented by Hosack, Specht, Muetzel and Wood. (Finance Item #0606-4)

 

  1. Recommend approval of Resolution No. 412-06 establishing the millage for real estate taxation for the 2006-2007 fiscal year as follows: Resolved that the Carlynton School District does hereby levy and assess the real estate tax for the fiscal year for all taxable property in the Carlynton School District for the Boroughs of Carnegie, Crafton and Rosslyn Farms, at 24.15 mills or $2.415 on each one hundred dollars ($100) of the assessed valuation on all property for school purposes. (Finance Item #0606-5) TBP

 

9.       Recommend approval of Resolution No. 413-06 as follows: Resolved that the levy of one percent (1%) on all earned income and net profit levied by Resolution No. 44 of 1966 and enacted under the authority of the Local and Tax Enabling Act #511 of 1965 and its amendments thereto, is hereby renewed for the 2006-2007 fiscal year and for an indefinite term thereinafter.  (Finance Item #0606-6) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the Carlynton School District 2006-2007 General Fund Budget in the amount of $22,096,241. The budget reflects no tax increase for the district.

 

  1. Recommend approval to designate PNC Bank, Crafton Branch, as the official school district depository for funds received for fiscal year 2006-2007 in accordance with Section 621 of the PA School Code.

 

  1. Recommend approval of the administrative staff to contract with __________ to provide voluntary student insurance for the 2006-2007 school year, at an amount not to exceed $____ for school-time coverage, and $____ for 24-hour coverage. TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval of the Carlynton School District’s participation in the ____________ Worker’s Compensation Program, effective July 1, 2006.  (Finance Item #0606-7) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval that Michael Crown, Crafton Real Estate Tax Collector; Edward Adams, Rosslyn Farms Real Estate Tax Collector; and Rose McCaffrey, Carnegie Real Estate Tax Collector, be excused from further collection of school district real estate taxes for the 2005-2006 school year, effective June 30, 2006, and that the list of names of those owners submitted by each of the above tax collectors be given to the delinquent tax collector for the purpose of liening.

 

  1. Recommend approval to reappoint Edward Adams as Rosslyn Farms Earned Income Tax Collector for the 2006-2007 school year.
  2. Recommend approval of the renewal of public official bonds for Board Secretary Kirby Christy and Treasurer Sandra Hughan.

 

  1. Recommend approval for authorization to be granted to appropriate officials to provide tax duplicates to each of the District’s tax collectors on or before July 1, 2006, in accordance with Section 682 of the PA
    School Code.

 

  1. Recommend approval for the District to acquire the tax collector’s bonds as required by Section 684 of the PA School Code for the Carnegie, Crafton and Rosslyn Farms Tax Collectors.

 

  1. Recommend approval for bids to be awarded for General, Art, Science, Medical, Physical Education, Custodial/Maintenance and Athletic Supplies for the 2006-2007 school year.  (Finance Item #0606-9) TBP

  2. Recommend approval of the South Central Area Schools Proposed Administrative Budget for the 2006-2007 school year as submitted. (Finance Item #0606-10) TBP

 

  1. Recommend approval to adopt the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Policies and Procedures for 2006-2007 as presented. (Finance Item #0606-11)

 

 

·   Personnel

 

22.   Recommend approval of the addition(s) to the 2006-2007 Athletic Supplemental Contract List as presented and recommended by the administrative staff. (Personnel Item #0606-1) TBP

 

23.   Recommend approval of the addition(s) to the 2006-2007 Activities Supplemental Contract List as presented and recommended by the administrative staff. (Personnel Item #0606-2) TBP

 

24.   I move to approve Deborah Chiocca for the position of temporary lunchroom/playground aide at Carnegie Elementary due to the absence of Kathleen McCartney, effective May 30, 2006 through June 2, 2006, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0606-3)

 

25.   I move to approve the posting for the positions of one teacher and one aide for a 2006 summer program for incoming kindergarten students. The program will be held July 30 through August 11, 2006 at Carnegie Elementary School.

 

26.   Recommend approval to accept the resignation of Carnegie Elementary teacher Marcie Allen as submitted. (Personnel Item #0606-4)

 

27.   Recommend approval of the child bearing leave requested by teacher Suzanne Verbanick for the 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 school years as submitted. (Personnel Item #0606-5)

 

28.   Recommend approval to offer Temporary Professional Employee contracts to the following individuals for positions within the district for the 2006-2007 school year: _____________________.  These positions are effective August 24, 2006 and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining unit agreement.
