2.       I move to approve the field trip and conference requests as presented. (Miscellaneous Item #0206-2)

 

3.       Recommend approval of Resolution No. 410-06, as presented, whereby the Carlynton School District seeks funding equity, oversight and accountability of charter schools in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (Miscellaneous Item #0206-3)

 

 

·   Curriculum

 

4.       I move to approve the 2006-2007 Seventh and Eighth Grade Student Handbook and Course Description Book as presented. (Curriculum Item #0206-1)

 

 

·         Finance

5.       Recommend approval of the Treasurer’s Report for the month of January 2006 as presented. TBP

 

6.       Recommend approval of the January 2006 bills in the amount of $_____________ as presented. TBP

 

7.       Recommend approval of Resolution No. 411-06, as presented, whereby the Carlynton School District enacts a supplemental Realty Transfer Tax so as to comply with the requirements of Act 40 of 2005 concerning transfers which are taxable, and authorizing the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue to collect and enforce the tax when necessary, and authorizing the treasurer to share information with the Department of Revenue. ·   Personnel

 

8.       Recommend approval of the additions to the 2005-2006 Day-to-Day Substitute List as presented and recommended by the administrative staff. (Personnel Item #0206-1)

 

9.       Recommend approval of the request of Carnegie Elementary teacher Mandy Turnbull for a child bearing leave beginning on or about April 18, 2006 as presented. (Personnel Item #0206-2)

 

10.   Recommend approval of _________________ for the position of General Cafeteria Worker at Carnegie Elementary due to the resignation of Joanne Brady.  Salary and benefits will be consistent with the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0206-3) TBP

 

11.   I move to approve the posting for a half-time transition coordinator for the remainder of the 2005-2006 school year only.

 

12.   Recommend approval of the letter of intent to retire for high school social studies  teacher William Tomasic, effective the last day of the 2005-2006 school year, under the terms and conditions provided by the retirement system and the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0206-4)

 

13.   Recommend approval of the letter of intent to retire for Carnegie Elementary teacher John Torchia, effective the last day of the 2005-2006 school year, under the terms and conditions provided by the retirement system and the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0206-5)

 

14.   Recommend approval of the letter of intent to retire for high school social studies  teacher Thomas Perrin, effective the last day of the 2005-2006 school year, under the terms and conditions provided by the retirement system and the collective bargaining unit agreement. (Personnel Item #0206-6)

 

15.   Recommend approval of the letter of intent to retire for Carlynton Junior-Senior High School Principal James Muraco, effective June 30, 2006, under the terms and conditions provided by the retirement system and the Act 93 Agreement. (Personnel Item #0206-7)
