The Cougar Marching Band will host its annual band festival at Honus Wagner Field on Saturday, September 30 at 7:00 pm.

In an opening ceremony, the 911 Airlift Wing Honor Guard will join the Cougar marching band in the National Anthem.

The festival will feature performances of eight high school bands, including Bethel Park, Bishop Canevin, Chartiers Houston, Chartiers Valley, Cornell, Steel Valley, West Allegheny and Carlynton. The Robert Morris University marching band will cap off the festival with some high-stepping entertainment.

Younger students will also partake in the festival as mini poms, flags and majorettes, joining the Cougar auxiliary squads in a performance.

Tickets for the festival are $8 adults and $5 students. They can be purchased in the high school office or by contacting Jen Heidkamp at kjheidkamp@verizon.net. Tickets will also be available at the gate.

In preparation of its spring trip and performance in Disney World, Orlando, FL the band is hosting a number of community fundraisers.

A car wash will be held at the Advanced Auto in Carnegie on Saturday, September 23 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The band is also hosting a fundraiser at Blaze Pizza in Settlers Ridge on Thursday, September 28 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. 20% of all purchases will be kicked back to the band. Present THIS FLYER when ordering.
