Carlynton Students Rock Science Bowl
Competing against some 300 youngsters from dozens of local school districts, Carlynton students came out on top at the event by meeting a number of hands-on challenges that stimulated creativity and teamwork.
The annual Science Bowl, a two-day event, was held at the Carnegie Science Center. On the first day, fifth graders Wilson Choate, Mason Glover, Sean Hart and Chikamso Orji captured a first place medal.
The second day featured challenges for older students. Carlynton had two teams of seventh and eighth graders place in the top, both earning second place medals.
Team One included Andrew Engleka, Aiden Forrest, Azjia Gardner, Gwen Kalimon and Audrey Robb.
Team Two was comprised of Pierce Greiner, Michael Kozy, Ethan O'Brien, Lukas Prepelka and Owen Schriver.
